About the Practitioner

I
have loved the miracle of pregnancy and childbirth since the
birth of my own daughter. I used the natural techniques of
childbirth available at the time with all three of my
pregnancies. I could not understand why women suffered so much in
birth when, though my experiences were not as peaceful as the
ones with HypnoBirthing®, they certainly were far away from
suffering and pain. My experiences made me feel fulfilled as a
woman, and I always looked forward to my next birthing when I
became pregnant.
During this period of my life - 25 years - I worked for a
pediatrician counseling mothers on newborn care, breastfeeding,
as well as, well and ill-child care. Counseling brought me closer
to women and their roles as mothers and nurturers. In this
capacity, they felt free to share their experiences and issues
involving childbirth and newborn care.
After retiring from the pediatric office, I became an educator in alternative
medicine specializing in various healing modalities that honor
our minds, bodies, and spirits. Soon after becoming a Certified
Hypnotist, I discovered that hypnosis could help women with the
fear and discomfort they have regarding childbirth. As a
HypnoBirthing® Educator, I have found my true calling. I am an
avid supporter of a woman's right to birth in a peaceful and calm
atmosphere, free from unnecessary intervention.
I hold certifications by the National Guild of Hypnotists, the
HypnoBirthing® Institute, The Institute for Perinatal Education
and A-CAM (Aromatherapy and Complementary Alternative Medicine).
